Our latest Ofsted report has been published which is attached below.
The Ofsted has rated Harrow Independent College (HIC) as a GOOD school. The report praises what the college has achieved in light with the independent school standards.
As per Ofsted a GOOD school is the one that has achieved the following standards:
- The quality of teaching, learning and assessment is at least good.
- All other key judgements are likely to be good or outstanding. In exceptional circumstances, one of the key judgement areas may require improvement, as long as there is convincing evidence that the school is improving it rapidly and securely towards good.
- Deliberate and effective action is taken to promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and their physical well-being.
- Safeguarding is effective.
We are proud the report highlighted our successes and accomplishments. HIC will continue to work towards excelling standards and taking initiatives to curb the gaps. The leaders at the college will take every opportunity to make HIC an outstanding college in years ahead.
Finally, I take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all members of staff who work vigorously for the betterment of our students, the chairman of our governing body Mr Graham Minshaw for his support , parents and the entire community in Harrow.
Mr Kandiah Kandeepan
Principal, Harrow Independent College
