Grading in the 2022 summer series

Ofqual has confirmed that the summer 2022 exams will be a ‘transition’ year where there will be more generous grading compared to a normal exam year.

The Ofqual blog explains their plan for a fair and gradual return to pre-pandemic grading standards in 2023.

If you’re unhappy with your results

Reach out to our exams officer at office@harrowindependentcollege.co.uk as they will be best placed to help you. You can also refer to https://www.harrowindependentcollege.com/summer-2022-appeals/ for information regarding HIC’s appeals process for Summer 2022 Exams.

Learn more about sitting exams, appeals and advice from Ofqual on what to do if you’re unhappy with your results.

If you’re concerned about your future options, you can also contact the National Careers Service to speak directly to a careers adviser for advice and guidance.

University applications and admissions

Awarding Bodies send all A-level results directly to UCAS as it manages university admissions. If you have any questions about a university application or clearing, please contact UCAS directly.

Overseas universities

You may need your results or certificates earlier to apply for, or confirm, overseas university or college places. Find out when they need your results information – their deadlines and timescales may be different to our certificate release dates.

Please contact our college Exams Officers at office@harrowindependentcollege.co.uk to further enquire about this.

Certificates

Certificates are sent to our college about eight weeks after results day. We will be in touch with you via email regarding collection of certificates once received.

Certificates show the final, confirmed results. Your certificate is an important document so keep it in a safe place. You will need it for future employers and/or further education, and the awarding bodies charge for any replacement documents.
